At Paint Valley Farms we take pride in producing Shorthorn cattle that are trouble free and functional. We are a program with a commitment to producing cattle with strong maternal qualities that focus on traits such as fertility, udder quality, longevity, disposition, fleshing ability and calving ease. It is our goal to offer Shorthorn Bulls that will work well in either purebred or crossbreeding programs by passing on these same profitable traits.
We are located in Holmes County Ohio home of the world’s largest Amish community. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, Amish farms, and enjoying savory homemade foods while listening to the clip-clop of a horse and buggy as it goes by. It is in this patchwork of farms and agriculture that we run a Shorthorn cow herd.
