Paint Valley Farms in Millersburg, Ohio is a progressive Shorthorn seedstock operation focused on producing practical, maternally driven cattle backed by performance, data, and real-world functionality. Led by Lee and Dawn Miller and their family, the program serves both seedstock and commercial cattle producers across the United States and Canada.

Built around proven cow families and disciplined genetic selection, Paint Valley Farms emphasizes maternal strength, calving ease, structural integrity, carcass merit, and long-term production efficiency. The program combines phenotype with genomically enhanced EPDs, performance data, and extensive sire evaluation to continually advance herd quality while maintaining the functionality demanded in commercial production.

The operation is rooted in the belief that elite cattle begin with productive, efficient cows. Longevity, fertility, udder quality, disposition, and calf performance remain central to the breeding philosophy, with cattle developed in practical, forage-based conditions designed to promote soundness and durability.

Today, Paint Valley Farms hosts annual production sales that attract buyers from across North America and has become recognized for producing Shorthorn cattle that balance maternal excellence with genuine performance and functionality.
